Last week, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was presented with his own star on the Walk of Fame. The actor has been staring in some major films lately, so it’s no surprise that he was chosen for this honor. However, it wasn’t just his acting career that earned him this distinction, but all of the additional humanitarian work he regularly partakes in.
“Not only does Dwayne have a great personality and talent, but he also does a great amount of philanthropic work which is part of the criteria for earning an immortal spot on the Walk of Fame,” Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies said. “We envision scores of photos being taken at his star by his fans.”
Immediately following the press tour for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, where he was joined by costars Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and the rest of the cast, Johnson is preparing for the premiere of the film on December 20. The future continues to look promising for the actor as he was just cast in the new Disney film, Jungle Cruise. He’s also been connected with two other films, Rampage and Skyscraper which are set to be released in 2018.
