Christmas is the only time of year where it’s perfectly acceptable to pull out your camera, snap a photo of the whole family, hilariously roast the youngest member of the family, and then send it out to everyone you know. For the Seawright family, their Christmas card photo idea was just too good to pass up.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, Emily Seawright and her whole family seized the opportunity to snap a quick photo while they were all together. She then proceeded to post it to Twitter where the internet immediately fell in love with the family’s sense of humor.
So much was happening and they wanted to document it. It’s clear what’s going on in the lives of her siblings and how her parents feel about the news, but as for Emily…well, she’s just Emily.
The tweet went viral, garnering over 56,467 retweets and 332,078 likes. Other Twitter users joked along, saying, “I am Emily,” while some promised they could, “fix” her single relationship status.
The photo really resonated with people who are also going through the holiday season with no news of their engagement, pregnancy, or relationship status change to share with people. We’ve all been there at some point, so do what Emily did and laugh it off. You won’t be holding that same sign forever.
