David Beckham may be a serious athlete and a proud celebrity, but that doesn’t mean that he’s above taking it easy and spending some recreational time doing dad stuff….like building LEGO sets. You’d think that he would at least put together some dude sets like Star Wars or Ninjago, but no.

He posted this picture on Instagram of himself putting together — get this — a princess castle! “Page 1 of the Disney castle, 4000 pieces 490 pages of instructions I look confused but I’m so excited,” he said.

490 pages of instructions may sound like an exaggeration, but that isn’t the actual number. There are 492 pages to be exact! That’s a hefty amount of time devoted to one thing, but that’s the joy of being in retirement, I suppose. Hopefully he’ll upload a picture of the finished product.

Seeing a seasoned athlete like Beckham having so much fun with a Disney-themed kids toy really shouldn’t be all that shocking, especially considering that he and his wife Victoria took their four children to Disneyland back in 2015.

Coupled with that and the fact that there are a plethora of very much grown men who have tremendous amounts of fun with LEGO bricks, we’re glad that Beckham is enjoying his retirement and bringing out his kid side all at the same time.
