In August, Imagine Dragons hosted their fourth annual Tyler Robinson Foundation (TRF) Believer Gala fundraiser at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to raise funds and spread awareness for pediatric cancer. The organization is named after an Imagine Dragons fan who formed a special bond with the band during his journey with cancer.
Sadly, the Utah teen lost his life in 2013 to a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Imagine Dragons wanted to honor Robinson’s life and support his family during this difficult time, so they created a foundation for those fighting through the same cancer.
In the above photo, band members (left to right) Wayne Sermon, Dan Reynolds, Ben McKee and Daniel Platzman posed with the Hemmert family, who is currently being assisted by TRF. Anthony and Emily (center) are pictured with their daughter Jane and son Emmerson, who is currently in remission.
The Tyler Robinson Foundation’s mission statement is “to strengthen families financially and emotionally as they cope with the tragedy of a pediatric cancer diagnosis by offsetting out-of-pocket life expenses.”
